It has been a full year since I last worked out. I use to be nice and lean and now I am not at that level or nicely cut at the level I would like. So with my busy schedule I decided to try one of these workout at home regiments. I didn’t want to have any bulky equipment, a ton of weights, or a whole system that I have to stow away in the corner.
I mean I live in a condo…
So I started watching these workout TV shows — you know where they do home workouts with just a towel or some free weights. I did them but it wasn’t intense enough for me. I felt like it was made for stay at home moms–no offense to the ladies reading this blog. What I needed was something more to intensify my workout.
One day by watching one of these fitness channels the P90X infomercial came on. I was definitely intrigued by it and wanted to know more. It looked like the results I want to achieve by being able to stay at home while also being able to run my business at home.
The best part about P90X was that the little bit of equipment used was not too far from what I currently have now. Some resistance bands, my own free weights, a mat (in my case a towel which I might add became a piece of equipment when I had to do towel hopping) and a pull up bar (which resistance bands can be used in substitution).
I decided to grab it and can tell you the workout is intense. By my third week I have leaned up a lot. P90X is not for sissies. So, if you’re going to cry like a girl every time you have sore muscles after a workout then forget it. Don’t bother going any further.
Tony Horton teaches you to focus your mind and push until the end. He’s constantly telling you to keep going and overtime you will see results and be successful. The move he introduced to you the first week is now baby steps for you by the 3rd week.
If you have the guts to do start this workout and serious about manning up and getting into shape, the first thing you have to remember is this: No pain, No gain. Working on your body is hard work; don’t let anyone kid you otherwise. Anyone who says it’s easy and can be done with a few pills and minimum sweat is scamming you big time. This P90X workout is hard – but it works.
In just 90 days, the P90X workout guarantees to give you an extremely ripped body and will improve your overall health no matter what your age is. I personally have not reached the end of the 90 days but I can tell you my results are amazing just after week 3.
With the P90X workout, you don’t have to worry about your workouts becoming monotonous. The program is split into three distinct phases. Each phase is three weeks long and is followed by a recovery week.
Your workouts are different in each of the phases to ensure you don’t get bored with the exercises and so your body doesn’t hit a plateau. Tony Horton did an awesome job designing this program and he does not disappoint.
If you are looking for an extremely attractive physique then this is definitely the way to go. A lot of people may be thinking that it will be just like any other workout program that they start where they never finish or never see any results. That is not the case with the P90x workout. You will have Tony Horton as your fitness trainer to see you all the way through the program as well as offer you tips on meals and how to eat healthier to get better results.
One other thing that you have to realize about the P90X workout is that it is for absolutely anybody, anywhere, anytime.
